FERTILIZER TIPS

1.   Most   plants   should   be   fertilized every month (March through October).

2.   Follow directions on the fertilizer product label. If you have doubts regarding frequency or concentration,  use only one-half the suggested dosage each time.

3.   Inorganic   fertilizers   may   accumulate insoluble salts in your soil which   are   detrimental   to   plant health.    Occasional   repotting   or flushing with clear water can prevent this build-up.

4.   Plants that are potbound will need regular fertilizing.

5.   Plants should not be fertilized when their soil is dry.

6.   Newly    transplanted    young plants or seedlings should not be fertilized immediately but allowed to adjust to  their  new environment first.

7.   Fertilizers  that  contain  trace amounts of other  nutrients  are good for complete plant health.

8.   Plants respond to different kinds of fertilizers, used at different times.
