High Level of triglycerides

Previous week I had a lipid test. My triglycerides was terrifyingly high at 459. My total cholesterol level is 202 and hdl is 43. I am under medication for hypertension and my bp is at 140/80. I am taking tenormin 25mg.(1tab a day). I am under medication for hypertension for the past 6 years. This is the first time I am taking lipid test. I am 43 years old. I am not diabetic and my sugar level is 88 (in fasting) and 129 after 2 hours (after consuming glucose).
Doctor had put me under medication for colestrol with lipicard 200 (1 at night after dinner for 2 months).
I am now taking a quick walk in the morning for an hour. I want to be strictly under diet (walking and diet for the past 2 days and will continue regularly).
What food should I take to decrease my cholesterol level to normal? At current I take 5 pieces of garlic in milk (small quantity) and boil it and eat it in the morning.
Whether lipicard 200 will have side effects such as damage to liver.

Answer:
You should continue taking what the doctor prescribed, but you would also begin to take some natural supplement and a little down the track you would most likely find that you won’t need prescription medications anymore

Natural supplements that can lower triglycerides are: guggul (these are reportedly more helpful than prescribed meds with no risky side effects), beta-sitosterol supplements, pantethine supplement.

Old garlic is the extract of fresh, whole garlic aged in alcohol. It contains all of the natural decency from whole fresh garlic, and if administered correctly, without the unlikable aftertaste or odor.
