5 Steps to Painting a Room

Looks easy, doesn’t it? But it’s not! Here are some pointers to smoothen the edges out.
•Always work from top to bottom and never the other way round! This means you have to start from the ceiling.

•If you’re doing the ceiling, start by painting a 5cm strip on the ceiling where it meets the wall. Then when you start painting the ceiling itself start in a corner and work across the short side to maintain a wet edge.

•When it comes to walls, paint a 5cm strip along the ceiling, floor and woodwork with a brush. Finally, use a roller and go over as close to the edges as possible to create a clean and even finish.

For woodwork, paint all the trim that you can.

Finally, you ought to know by now that it’s a wise idea to invest in good rollers and paint so you won’t end up needing to apply 10 coats!
