Like a car, your body needs fuel to keep moving. But when your tank gets low, you need to fill ‘er up with the right foods to sustain energy and stamina. Here are some tips to keep your engine humming throughout the day.
Bet on breakfast
It’s the one meal you don’t want to skip. Research shows that breakfast enhances energy, memory, concentration, and even weight loss. In a recent study of nearly 2,400 girls, researchers found that those who regularly ate breakfast, especially cereal, consumed less fat and cholesterol and were slimmer than those who skipped the morning meal. One reason: The fiber in cereal, along with milk and orange juice, fills you up so you don’t overeat at lunchtime.
Add snacks
A well-timed snack keeps you energized between meals and makes you less likely to reach for second helpings at the dinner table. Start by adding a healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack to your day, then scale back on your three main meals to keep total calories in check. Good snack choices include a banana with peanut butter and fat-free yogurt with apple slices.

how to stop smoking; A stop smoking program
Quit smoking now. Here are 4 ways quit smoking, worth a try.
Short bursts of activity.
A new review in the journal addiction says a quick dose of exercise-as little as 30 minutes of brisk walking or stretching, for instance-quells cravings, will help you to quit smoking.
Online support.
Internet groups like quitnet.com offer round-the-clock encouragement from fellow quitters and counselors. This kind of support can double your success to stop smoking.
Innovative medication.
Chantix, the stop smoking drug, short-circuits nicotine’s ability to activate the pleasure centers in the brain, so lighting up is less enjoyable. According to the National Cancer Institute more stop-smoking drugs (and possibly even a vaccine that makes nicotine unappealing) could hit the market within 5 years.
A new way to use the patch.
A study in Nicotine and Tobacco Research suggests that smokers who start the patch 2 weeks before they quit smoking may double their success rate. Talk to your doctor, because this trick risks exposing your body to a dangerous amount of nicotine if you smoke a lot while wearing the patch.
metabolism booster
1. GET MOVING The more lean muscle you have, the more body fat you can burn. You’ll gain muscle faster if you work the major muscle groups (bottom, legs, chest and arms) – and you don’t need long sessions. If you’re a morning person, wake up early to do 15 minutes of resistance training, such as squats or push-ups. Or get active later in the day: walk, bike-ride, or dance like mad while preparing dinner. TOP TIP: All exercise increases your metabolism, but interval training gives you a “bonus burn”. For example, walk at a pace that feels challenging for two or three minutes, then slow to an easy pace for five minutes; repeat.
2. EAT BREAKFAST There appears to be a link between eating breakfast and the number of kilojoules you can burn, perhaps because your metabolic rate slows while you sleep. Don’t worry if you’re not a big eater. Try a protein and complex carbohydrate combo, such as a small bowl of muesli with Vi cup skim milk and a small banana, or a poached egg on a wholegrain muffin.
Ear pain; boil in the ear canal
Could someone please help me with the significance of this? When I put my finger in the ear canal, as I read on the web that doctors do, I feel very loud and significant multiple sounds – it can be heard by others. I also have pain in that ear and pain from behind the ear (both sides) and down into my anterior neck muscles, which comes and goes. Also midline deviation.
Answer:
What are the symptoms of a boil in the ear canal?
The major symptom is pain. Because of its site, the pain may become quite severe even though the boil is usually small. Other symptoms include itch, irritation, and sometimes there is temporary hearing loss whilst the infection is present. If the boil ‘bursts’, you may have a sudden discharge from the ear. If this happens, the pain often eases dramatically, and the symptoms soon settle.
What causes a boil in the ear canal?
Mostly they occur ‘out of the blue’ for no apparent reason. They are like most spots or small boils that can occur on any area of the skin. In some cases the infection develops on damaged skin.
You can damage the skin in the ear canal if you poke your ear with such things as a cotton wool bud. Slightly damaged skin can quickly become inflamed and infected.
Nuvaring benefits and side effects
What is NuvaRing?
NuvaRing is a flexible contraceptive ring that is about two inches in diameter. Once a month, you insert NuvaRing into your vagina where it slowly releases a combination of contraceptive hormones called progestin (etonogestrel) and estrogen (ethinylestradiol) and distribute them into your bloodstream.
How does NuvaRing work?
NuvaRing is put in the vagina for three weeks and taken out for one week to allow for your period. 1 ring will last 1 month.
NEW USERS should put in the NuvaRing among the 1st and 5th day of the menstrual cycle. You must use a back- up method for 7 days after putting in the first ring.
NuvaRing should be taken out on the same day it was put in, 3 weeks later. Bleeding should start two to three days after it is taken out. The next ring must be put in one week later even if bleeding has not stopped. If NuvaRing has been left in place for more than 4 weeks, you could get pregnant.

Treatment for internal and external hemorrhoids
I am 25 yrs old woman and have been suffering with both external and internal hemorrhoid since last ten month. At the beginning it was very small but now it has grown to the size of a green pea. I have been drinking a lot of water and also doing exercise but still there is no improvement; sometimes the pain is very intense. What treatment options do i have for internal and external hemorrhoids? I have consulted 2 doctors until now and all of them recommend to use anal suppositories, preparation-H cream and wipes. However, these are not helping me.
What treatment options do I have for internal and external hemorrhoids?
Answer:
Hemorrhoids are a common problem in the adult population. Hemorrhoids symptoms include bleeding, pain, protrusion, and itching. However, because none of these symptoms are specific for hemorrhoids, the diagnosis should only be made after an appropriate physical examination has ruled out other disorders, such as anal fissure, fistula, or abscess.

This is affecting my emotions and self-esteem, indirectly affecting the relationship with my partner.

I Want My Jaw Line Back. Should I get a jaw implants?
I am 40 year old now. I have lost my jaw line since I was 35. Now I feel like to get it back. But I would not do it if I must go through an invasive surgery. Do surgeons have any kind of laser surgery, which can do it painlessly with no blood? If I get the lipo done, would it ever come back since it’s hereditary? Should I get a jaw implants instead?
Answer:
I expect you are referring to getting rid of the additional two chins. I have had a double chin since I was a teenager. I just turned fourty six year old, but four years ago, had lipo to remove the double chins. Now I can wear turtlenecks and feel good about myself. There was no soreness involved, no blood or inflammation. It is invasive, but I wish I had this opportunity to have it done thirty years before. The secret is finding a first-rate plastic surgeon you feel you can trust and listens to you.
Double vision in left eye (Diplopia)
1. General: Double Vision (Diplopia) symptoms rarely improve by themselves. They are likely to remain the same or to gradually worsen over time. They should be diagnosed and treated promptly, both to stop or reverse diseases that may be cause – or simply for the patient’s comfort and convenience if the cause is misconvergence of the two eyes.
2. Convergence Problems:
A. If the eyes are so badly misconverged that they appear to others to be either turned inward, “crossed”, or to be turned outward, “wall-eyed”,then surgical correction is likely to be needed, by an ophthalmologist.
B. If the double vision is due to misconvergence that is minor (so that the eyes do not appear abnormal to bystanders), then eyeglass correction may be helpful.
NOTE: Even after eye muscle surgery, corrective eyeglasses may still be needed.
