Ways To Beat Stress At Work

30 June, 2008 (13:25) | tips, Health, jobs, Self help | By: admin

Scary project deadline
If you’ve got a really big work task up ahead, why not break it down a bit? One life coach I know calls it “nibbling an elephant” and it works very well. You couldn’t eat a whole elephant, right, no matter how hungry you are. So, just nibble a bit at a time, a little bit more each day and before you know it, you’ve gobbled up the whole thing.

So a little bit at a time, then move on. This way, that big scary project becomes less big. By taking tiny baby steps, you’ll help prevent those stressful I-don’t-know-where-to-begin jitters and the project won’t seem so overwhelming. Of course, the project may simply be too big for just one person to take on. If so, see your boss to discuss the matter as soon as you realize you can’t meet the deadline.

Explain that you’re willing to do whatever it takes to see this project through, but that it’s just not possible for you to complete it alone in the given time frame. It helps a lot if you offer some simple solutions, rather than just bitching and whinging about how long it’s taken and how much she’s given you to do.

Perhaps part of the job can be shared with a colleague who has a particular expertise that might be helpful? Or maybe there are ways to cut some steps out of the process. Even if your boss doesn’t use your solutions, you’ll still get credit for taking the initiative.

Paper work
Try to keep all paper off your desk; it won’t be easy but it will keep both your desk and mind clear. But just how do you stop the accumulation of paper in the first place? Keep up with it piece by piece as a daily routine.

The second that some paperwork comes your way, either throw it away immediately, file it or put it into one of two trays on your desk marked “urgent” and “to do” - which you should sort out at the end of the day. If there are papers you haven’t looked at in six months, bin it.

Tips how to influence your future employer

27 June, 2008 (08:08) | tips, jobs, Self help | By: admin

Your body language always has an effect on the other person. The secret of success is to concentrate on some simple combinations. If you want to appear confident adopt the following combinations: Don’t blink your eyes frequently. Keep your hands away from your face. Don’t lick your lips. Look into the other person’s eyes. Don’t clear your throat frequently.

You have to look calm on the outside, no matter how nervous you might be on the inside. Answer all interview questions professionally, smile, look the human resource person in the eyes and don’t forget to ask questions at the end of the interview. When you ask questions you express interest in the company and the interviewer understands that you did some research.

These tips can be used not only to influence your future employer but to influence your future potential clients (if you are in Sales/marketing). Don’t undervalue the body language. You influence them on unconscious level and for some reason they like you. Let’s say that during a presentation you play a lot with you jewelries or your watch; it makes them feel nervous too.

It’s not just your professional abilities that are being interviewed; this is also a test of your personality. If you are very serious during the interview to the point where you don’t smile, laugh, etc. you may give off the wrong thought. On the opposite side of the coin you don’t want to be a prankster and crack jokes through out the interview. I like to smile often during an interview and if a joke is made I laugh. Show the interviewer that you want to be there.

Epididymitis;Symptoms,Diagnosis,Treatment

24 June, 2008 (14:44) | tips, Health | By: admin

The epididymis is a series of small tubes attached to the back of each testicle that collects and stores sperm. One of the most common causes of scrotal pain is epididymitis, an infection and
subsequent inflammation of these coiled tubes.
Epididymo-orchitis occurs when the infection spreads to include the testicle.
Epididymitis
is usually a secondary bacterial infection triggered by a range of conditions, such as urinary tract infections or sexually transmissible infections (STIs). The bacteria in the urethra (the tube that allows the exit of urine and sperm from the penis) simply backtrack through the urinary and reproductive structures to the epididymis.
Treatment options include antibiotics and bed rest. Some men develop chronic epididymitis, which is characterised by inflammation even when there is no infection.

The symptoms of epididymitis include:
•Slight fever
•Chills
•A sensation of heaviness in the affected testicle
•Sensitivity to touch or pressure in the affected testicle
•Enlargement of the testicle
Abdominal pain
•Pelvic pain
•Frequent urge to urinate
•A burning sensation on urination
•Discharge from the penis
Blood in the urine
•Painful ejaculation.

Why does your abdomen makes noise?

22 June, 2008 (19:41) | tips, Health, Self help | By: admin

Why my stomach go mad when I do eat and why I get undigested food in my stalls.

Answer:
First is, don’t chew gum, because chew gum will produces more saliva and the effect is noisy abdomen. Noisy abdomen could be also cause of gases trapped in your body, and those could be cause of decomposing foods in your digestive system (digestive system is not doing well it’s role) and also lack of work out.
Make an effort eating more varied food, lots of cheese, protein. Try to reduce sugar for a while from your diet and monitor if situation improves. Try not to drink carbonated drinks. Also avoid food which will trigger the noises like beans, fried food, oily food. Try to drink more water and exercise once a week and enough sleep.

How does medical malpractice insurance work?

19 June, 2008 (14:03) | Finance, tips, Health, insurance | By: admin

Most health care providers need to buy professional liability insurance. Nearly all states require that physicians have liability insurance. Even in states that don’t, physicians usually have to have insurance coverage in order to get privileges to see patients at a hospital. In some contexts, however, physicians can choose to “go bare.” In Florida, for example, it is estimated that about five percent of physicians carry no liability coverage.
Physicians usually buy their insurance from a commercial company or a physician-owned mutual company, either individually or through a group practice. Hospitals and other health care facilities purchase their own insurance, and hospitals that directly employ physicians typically buy a policy that covers both the hospital and its medical staff. Physicians employed by the federal government don’t buy insurance; if they are sued, the suit is brought against the federal government, which insures itself. Some state-employed physicians receive coverage from the state.

Premiums for malpractice insurance vary with the provider’s degree of risk, but experience rating is not widely used.
Insurers set premiums on a prospective basis based on: 1) their expected payouts for providers in a particular risk group; 2) the uncertainty surrounding this estimate; 3) their expected administrative expenses and future investment income; and 4) the profit rate they seek. They use information on past losses and expenses, combined with other information, to help them set rates.

Physician professional liability insurance does not work like auto insurance, which is generally experience rated. When a motorist has a claim, his insurance premiums go up. Physician malpractice premiums, by contrast, are usually priced according to the physician’s specialty and geographic location only (some insurers also consider number of hours worked and types and setting of work within the specialty). Experiments with individual experience rating have not worked because physicians’ claims experience is too variable over short time periods, making it difficult to produce an actuarially stable estimate of their risk.

For hospitals, some degree of experience rating occurs, but usually no more than 25 percent of the hospital’s total premium is based on experience. Experience rating hospitals is more feasible than experience rating physicians because hospitals’ claims experience is more stable over time.
Hospital premiums also vary with hospital location (e.g., urban versus rural) and the clinical services offered (e.g., level of trauma care).

Laziness to go out

17 June, 2008 (14:22) | tips, Health, Self help, relationship | By: admin

I have become very lazy in the past 2 years.
I feel like sleeping after having a meal. I don’t like to getup before nine am. I don’t like to go anywhere in the field , even to meet a buyer or sometimes even a doctor. I don’t like to socialize also because of this laziness. My world to me is my house , my family , my office, my telephones and my computer.
The very idea of going somewhere makes me feel very tired.

What should I do to make myself more active?

answer:
You can motivate yourself to get outside and you’re spending time with your family. Plus, using your kids as help to motivate works great because once you tell them you’re going to do something, it’s hard to back out.

Laziness prevents one from reaching certain goals. But despite the person’s attempt to achieve them, the laziness, which is the problem they are trying to fix, becomes the problem that sets them back from doing so.

If it is the case that you never have really gone out and experienced what the world has to provide, despite it requiring socializing and physical activity, the only thing you can do to change that is to go out and experience them whether or not you like it. If you haven’t ever experienced it, and let the years go by, generally we all begin to fear change and have a natural bias for not wanting to try it later on. The only way you can discover if you will enjoy something then, is to just drive yourself to each task with an open mind and see if it is something you can see yourself doing. If not, keep moving on to the next thing.

You must know what you want to achieve and know how you plan to achieve it. Motivation supplies you with the courage to look at yourself in the mirror and realize that you can achieve more than you have. It drives you to be better than you ever have before, propelling you to great heights of success.
