What are the symptoms of a heart attack?
A serious heart attack causes sudden severe and crushing pain in the center of the chest, sometimes radiating down the arms or into the neck and back. The pain may bring on breathlessness, dizziness, and vomiting. The person will be deathly pale, may break out in a cold sweat, and collapse or lose consciousness.
What should I do if someone has a heart attack?
Send for the doctor immediately. If he is not available right away, call an ambulance. Meanwhile, treat the patient for shock, but keep him in a sitting position, with his head and shoulders supported by pillows or cushions, so that he can breathe more easily. Try to keep him as calm and quiet as possible, reassuring him that medical help is on its way. Do not give him any medicines or other drink. Watch him carefully and if his breathing stops, immediately start mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and heart compression.
What exactly is a heart attack? How does it happen?
Heart attack is another name for coronary thrombosis, or a blockage in the arteries that supply blood to the heart. Although the attack is sudden, the conditions that cause it have been building up for years beforehand. As we grow older, changes occur in the inner lining of the arteries and they tend to thicken. In addition, fatty material from the blood may be laid down inside the arteries, thus narrowing the channel. Parts of this material may flake off, contributing to blockage and roughening the arterial wall. The narrowed channel slows down the flow of blood and where the wall is roughened, a blood clot may form. The clot, called a thrombus, cuts off the blood supply to part of the heart, and the heart attack occurs. If the clot blocks a major artery, the attack is likely to be fatal, because without blood the heart will stop beating. If the blockage is less serious, however, blood may find its way around the blocked artery to reach the heart through other blood vessels.
Diabeties diet
Very few people recognize the profound effect that weight has on diabetes. Even instances of gestational diabetes are much larger in patients that are fat than in those that are not. Type ii, or adult onset diabetes is more frequently found in overweight people than those that are within their ‘ideal’ weight ranges. In fact, almost 90% of those with Type ii diabetes are overweight. If you are suffering from Type ii diabetes, the best gift you could possibly give yourself just might be the gift of getting your weight under control.
Among those that suffer from Type ii diabetes almost 40% have high blood pressure, which is another condition that is believed to be exacerbated by excess weight. Being overweight might also lead to a condition known as insulin resistance in which the body no longer responds to the insulin that is needed to assist the body in using glucose and sugar as fuel on a cellular level.
Back pain relief
Every bone within the structures of the skeletal muscles plays a very important part in our health. If any of these muscles, bones, tendons, etc is troubled it can lead to serious back problems. Back pain problems include slipped herniated disks, fractures, broken back, and so on. Every condition is caused from a string of activities, actions, incorrect movement, overexertion, etc, which exceptions include disease.
Back pain problem is complex, since different aspects of the human makeup creates such pain. For example, connective tissues can lead to serious back pain, more rapidly than bursa bruising. The baffling mechanisms behind back pain has lead scores of doctors off shore, since many struggle to see that the central nervous system alongside the spinal columns play a vital part in back pain creation.
Muscle Loss prevention
By stopping weight training and focusing strictly on cardio excercise for awhile, will I loss quite a bit of muscle mass? The reason I ask is I’ve been weight training for a couple months and gotten some results but I found out that my cholesterol level is a bit high so I decided to change my diet and do alot more cardio. I do need to lose more weight however so I think the cardio will do good for me.
answer:
Patients with involuntary weight loss (IWL) are at risk of losing critical muscle mass; however, a high intensity resistance training program can help prevent or reverse this process.
Strength is the amount of force the muscle can generate. Power is force multiplied by speed and is a more powerful
predictor of functional capacity than is strength. Power also includes, in addition to strength, the impact of joint pain, muscle stiffness, and connective tissue composition, all of which affect how rapidly a person generates force. Function is reflected by activities of daily living.
The best way to manage IWL and muscle wasting may be through a triple combination of resistance training, megestrol acetate, and testosterone. In other studies, megestrol acetate alone caused patients to eat more and gain weight but to lose lean body mass. The addition of testosterone still resultedin a loss of muscle in these patients, but when exercise was added, patients gained weight without a significant loss of lean body mass.
How to expand your social circle?
I’d like to expand my social circle but I can’t imagine making new friends at my age now.
answer:
You don’t have to introduce yourself to total strangers just to expand your social circle. Instead, try this: Approach a friend-in-law- that is, a friend of a friend. your best friend’s colleague seems nice? Invite her to go shopping. And the next time you’re at a house party, grab some drinks and offer some to the friends-in-law you always bump into but haven’t bothered to talk to. As we grow older, it’s easy to stay in our comfort zones and stick to the same group of friends. But you’d be surprised at how new friendships can expand your world, with just a little effort. Friends-in-law are the easiest way to break out of that rut. Plus, in case the conversation dies, you’ll always have a common friend you can talk about!

answer:
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is commonly diagnosed in young women with anovulatory infertility, oligomenorrhoea or hyperandrogenic problems such as hirsutism and acne. Although associated with obesity, the syndrome is also frequently seen in women of normal body habitus. While
most attention has been paid to the management of the presenting complaint (infertility, hirsutism, etc.), it has become clear that the polycystic ovary phenotype is linked to a number of metabolic disturbances, including type II (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes and possibly atherosclerotic
conditions. PCOS is frequently diagnosed by gynaecologists and it is therefore important that gynaecologists have a good understanding of the long-term implications of the diagnosis.

Holiday tipping guide-Holiday Gifts
The easiest way to shop without hassle and stress is to shop early. Most of us use shopping as a way to get into the Christmas spirit, but it also promotes a stressful holiday season.
What types of gifts do we buy? Mostly, items that we think someone would like to have based on our tastes. The most meaningful gift is one that meets that person’s desire or need. If Cousin Susie is always running out of stamps or envelopes to write letters, a thoughtful gift would be a personal mail center complete with stamps, envelopes, and writing tools.

But, food can get pretty expensive at that time of the year. If you are a holiday baker and a party host, getting the menus together ahead of time will save lots of money.
